Dock structures at marinas and commercial structures require solid construction to support the heaviest of pedestrian traffic, commercial use, and vessel mooring of all sizes. At Braddock Brockman, we feel that we over engineer all our projects to insure that our marina and commercial customers' reputations are upheld to not just an aesthetically pleasing look to the structure, but - more importantly - a solid construction to support the stress from vessel traffic that will be demanded from the dock structures as well. Furthermore, we team up with reputable partners across Florida to provide good looking, yet functional designs, engineered strength to support whatever the demand, marina start up services, as well as marina management services for already existing marinas. Bayview Nursing Home The Bayview Nursing Home on the Intracoastal Waterway in downtown St. Augustine is a project that we take great pride in. There is a 1,000' walkway that meanders across the back of the nursing home along the edge of the waterfront winding past two gazebos for relaxing and leading to a commercial dock structure that adheres to the American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance and is over engineered to support whatever the demand. The opening of the dock ceremony supported 100+ people that attended the ceremony. Please click here for a complete gallery of the project. Julington Creek Marina Julington Creek Marina is one of the premier marinas on Julington Creek. They provide in the water boat storage for vessels up to 40' and larger in length both covered and uncovered. They also offer slips with boat lifts and they accomodate storage for police and wildlife commissions as well. The project we completed for them was the largest of their floating docks to provide temporary mooring for their dry storage vessels and easy provisioning of other marina vessels and boat club vessels. Osprey Bluff Community Dock We worked with the Osprey Bluff home owners' association on the renovation of their existing 30 slip community dock in Doctors Inlet of Doctors Lake. The existing dock was worn from age, but was also patched on numerous occasions from marginal construction practices. We engaged with the HOA to construct a true commercial structure to support the heavy pedestrian traffic, the existing vessels on the dock, and the future needs of the residents.
