- The sun dries out the canvas and upholstery of the boat so that it cracks, splits, and completely deteriorate to the point that it needs to be replaced for a few thousand dollars.
- Birds and Insects - Bird nesting and bird droppings as well as spider webs and droppings quickly make a mess out of the boat often staining the gelcoat, canvas, and upholstery permanently.
